No tracking
There is no Google Analytics, no Facebook pixel and no advertising code on this site. Even the fonts on this page are served from our own server rather than Google's — otherwise your IP address would end up there anyway.
Privacy statement
What we keep, and what we don't.
Short version: we keep your email address so we can email you once, and the names you put into a tournament. Nothing else. No advertising code, no tracking, no selling anything on.
Who is responsible
The data controller is the provider of darttournament.app. Name, address and registration details are in the colophon. Questions about your data go to support@dartstournament.app.
What data, and why
Your email address, if you join the waiting list
We use it for one message: that the product is ready to use. After that you can unsubscribe in a single field, and if you do we delete the address. No newsletter, and we pass it on to nobody.
Alongside the address itself we keep the moment you signed up, which page you signed up from, and your browser's language setting. That last one so we can write to you in Dutch, English or German. Nothing more — your IP address is not stored with your sign-up.
Retention: until you unsubscribe, and twelve months at most in any case. After that the sign-up disappears by itself.
Your players' names
A tournament consists of names, results and standings. Those names are personal data, even when they are only first names or nicknames. We need them to run the tournament and to show the standings on the big screen — there is no other reason.
You decide what you type in. If you would rather not use real names, nicknames or initials work just as well.
Retention: as long as you keep the tournament. Delete it and it is gone. Tournaments on the free plan are deleted automatically after twelve months.
Your account and your payment
A paid plan needs an email address and a payment. The payment runs through a payment provider; we see whether it was paid, not your bank details.
Retention: tax law requires us to keep invoice records for seven years. Your account itself is deleted on request.
Technical data
The server briefly logs which requests came in, including IP address. That is needed to trace faults and prevent abuse. Those logs are wiped after fourteen days.
On the sign-up form we count how often submissions come from the same address, so the list does not fill up with junk. For that we store not your IP address but a hashed abbreviation of it, which cannot be turned back into the original. That counter erases itself after an hour.
What we don't do
No cookies that follow you
We set a cookie only when you are logged in, and then only to keep you logged in. That needs no consent, so there is no banner in your way either.
Nothing sold on
Your data does not go to advertisers, data brokers or anyone else. The only third parties who see anything are the ones we need in order to run: the hosting provider and the payment provider.
No storage outside the EU
The servers are in the European Union. Tournaments, names and accounts stay there.
Your rights
You may ask what data we hold about you, have it corrected, have it deleted, or object to its use. You may also ask for your data in a readable file — for tournaments you can already do that yourself, by exporting them.
Send a message to support@dartstournament.app and you will get an answer within thirty days. If you disagree with how we handle it, you can complain to your national data protection authority.
Are you the data controller?
If you put other people's names into a tournament, you are the one deciding what happens with them and we are the party carrying it out. For clubs and companies that want that set down formally, a data processing agreement is available. Ask by email.
